Sustainable transport solution for industrial goods flows
The task in this application example was to ship palletized goods in a reusable pallet box safely, efficiently and sustainably. The challenge was to develop transport packaging that is not only suitable for shipping by forwarding agent, but is also robust, reusable and cost-effective.
Our solution: the reusable pallet box
Our specially developed reusable pallet box in Euro size (600 x 400 x 275 mm) is the ideal solution for the sustainable shipping of goods in the forwarding environment. The box is stackable and can be folded flat for efficient return. Thanks to its robust design, it offers optimum protection for the shipped goods - even when used frequently. In practical tests under real conditions, the pallet box has proven to be extremely durable and resistant.
By systematically using these reusable pallet boxes, large quantities of disposable packaging can be avoided. Companies significantly reduce their packaging waste and cut their CO2 emissions at the same time - without compromising on protection or logistics capability.
Recycling & reuse
After shipping, the empty pallet box remains at the receiving point, where it is folded up and collected in collection containers. In this state, it is returned via existing logistics flows or through targeted collection. The box is then checked, cleaned and recirculated by the shipping company itself or by us and our partner workshops for people with disabilities.
An integrated label carrier ensures that shipping labels can be easily attached and removed without leaving any residue - without any adhesive tape or residue. The packaging can be sealed without the use of adhesive tape, making reprocessing simple and efficient.
Tamper-proof thanks to seal stickers
Optional sealing stickers can be used to ensure integrity during transportation. These are applied in such a way that they are visibly damaged when the box is opened and leave a "VOID OPEN" message. This creates transparency and security for everyone involved in the supply chain.
Economically convincing
It also pays off economically: although the purchase costs of a reusable pallet box are higher than for disposable packaging, these are spread over many usage cycles. Savings on packaging material are made after just a few cycles. As a rule, the reusable solution in this concept is cheaper than the disposable product after the seventh cycle. The packaging in this concept is designed for 40 cycles with cost savings in the region of 40%. The return costs were taken into account.

Sustainability with a system
Our pallet boxes are made entirely of polypropylene with a current recycled content of 60%. They are designed for 40 uses in shipping and are fully recycled at the end of their service life. Compared to conventional disposable packaging, the reusable solution saves CO2 from the third use onwards. With 40 rounds, CO2 emissions are reduced by up to 80% and packaging waste by up to 98%.
