Why Reusable?
Are you still wondering why you should use reusable packaging in your business? Here are four good reasons to start today.
Save on cardboard packaging
Did you know that around a quarter of industrially harvested wood is used to make packaging?Show Note 1WWF study “Alles aus Holz” [Everything Made of Wood] (as of July 7, 2022): 40% of industrially harvested wood is used in paper production, 60% of which goes into packaging—24% overall.Go to the WWF website We’re sure there’s a better way! With our reusable packaging, fewer single-use boxes are needed—which means less wood and less waste. The more often a box is reused, the smaller the carbon footprint of your shipments becomes.
Including reprocessing
When reconditioning our reusable shipping and transport packaging, we work closely with workshops for people with disabilities. Companies that rely on rhinopaq not only avoid packaging waste but also take on an important social responsibility.
Save Money
By using reusable packaging, you save not only packaging material but also costs. Under § 11 VerpackDG (German packaging law), reusable packaging that is taken back and reused within a reuse system is exempt from the system participation obligation.
EU Packaging Regulation
The EU Packaging Regulation has been applicable since August 12, 2026.Show Note 3Regulation (EU) 2025/40, applicable since August 12, 2026 (Art. 71). Art. 29: from January 1, 2030, at least 40% reusable transport packaging in the form of pallets, plastic crates, plastic boxes, trays, etc. (para. 1); 100% for deliveries to other companies within the same Member State (para. 3).Regulation (EU) 2025/40 Starting in 2030, transport packaging such as plastic crates and pallets must increasingly be reusable; cardboard boxes are exempt from this requirement. Switching to reusable packaging thus remains voluntary—and is still worthwhile: less waste, lower costs.
Efficient Returns
To return the packaging, your customers can simply bundle the folded reusable packaging in the collection containers provided—and that’s it. We’ll take care of the return, reconditioning, and redistribution.
