Sustainable solution for recurring spare parts shipments
The task in this application example from the spare parts shipping sector was to ship spare parts safely, efficiently and in an environmentally friendly manner between locations, service partners or workshops - without the typical packaging chaos and without additional effort for the logistics teams. The aim was to develop a solution that could be seamlessly integrated into existing processes while significantly reducing packaging waste.
Our solution: spare parts shipping in a returnable model
With our reusable packaging system specially designed for multiple circulation, we offer a stable, reusable shipping solution for spare parts - combined with a service model that relieves our customers to the maximum.
In the pay-per-use collect model, we not only provide the packaging, but also take care of the entire return and recycling process. Our customers don't have to worry about cleaning, storage or reordering - we keep the cycle going.
And best of all, the costs are on a par with conventional disposable packaging - without the need to set up a separate reusable infrastructure.
How the cycle works
After shipping and removal of the spare parts, the empty reusable packaging is folded flat in a few simple steps at the receiving location (e.g. workshops or service locations) and collected by us in a container. As soon as the collection container is full, the folded packaging is bundled and returned to us - either by an existing transport service or by return logistics coordinated by us. We check the packaging, clean it and prepare it for its next use. On request, our customers automatically receive replenishments when stocks run low - controlled by our digital tracking system. This creates a closed cycle without any additional work for the operational business.
Tamper-proof thanks to seal stickers
Optional sealing stickers can be used to ensure integrity during transportation. These are applied in such a way that they are visibly changed when the box is opened and leave a "VOID OPEN" message. This creates transparency and security for everyone involved in the supply chain.
Minimum effort for maximum effect
Our solution can be integrated into existing logistics chains with virtually no process changes. Shipping takes place as usual, but in robust reusable packaging. There is a label carrier on the packaging that allows shipping labels to be removed easily and without leaving any residue. Thanks to the sealing stickers and our design, the process works entirely without additional adhesive tape.
Transparency & security of supply through digital tracking
All reusable packaging from rhinopaq can be tracked digitally. This creates full transparency about usage cycles, waste savings and return rates - real added value for the sustainability report. At the same time, tracking enables automated supply: as soon as the packaging stock at a location runs out, it is replenished in good time. Manual reordering is no longer necessary - and bottlenecks are a thing of the past.
