Calculate your potential CO2 savings

You can use our parcel calculator to calculate how much CO2 you can expect to save with our reusable packaging. As many parameters play a role here, the calculation is simplified. A precise calculation will be made as part of our collaboration.

Weight of the disposable packaging:

Number of shipments per week:

Number of uses per reusable packaging:

CO2 savings per year

Tree equivalent per year

Soccer pitches of forest per year

Adjust the three upper sliders for input. Specify ...

  • how much a packaging carton weighs on average,
  • how many items you send per week,
  • the usage cycles achieved per reusable packaging (we recommend calculating with 10-20 cycles).

As a result, you will be shown ...

  • how much CO2 you can save in terms of your packaging costs,
  • how many trees your savings correspond to per year,
  • how many soccer pitches of forest we can save as a result.

For the calculation, we make the following assumptions: 36 grams of CO2 are generated per return shipment of a 250 gram reusable packaging in the pay-per-use-collect model; the CO2 factor for cardboard boxes is 0.62 in relation to their own weight (1 kg of cardboard boxes cause 0.62 kg of CO2 emissions during production); one tree binds 10 kg of CO2 per year; there is one tree per 16 square meters of forest area; the area of a soccer pitch is 0.714 ha.
