Calculate your potential CO2 savings
You can use our parcel calculator to calculate how much CO2 you can expect to save with our reusable packaging. As many parameters play a role here, the calculation is simplified. A precise calculation will be made as part of our collaboration.
CO2 savings per year
Tree equivalent per year
Soccer pitches of forest per year
Adjust the three upper sliders for input. Specify ...
- how much a packaging carton weighs on average,
- how many items you send per week,
- the usage cycles achieved per reusable packaging (we recommend calculating with 10-20 cycles).
As a result, you will be shown ...
- how much CO2 you can save in terms of your packaging costs,
- how many trees your savings correspond to per year,
- how many soccer pitches of forest we can save as a result.
For the calculation, we make the following assumptions: 36 grams of CO2 are generated per return shipment of a 250 gram reusable packaging in the pay-per-use-collect model; the CO2 factor for cardboard boxes is 0.62 in relation to their own weight (1 kg of cardboard boxes cause 0.62 kg of CO2 emissions during production); one tree binds 10 kg of CO2 per year; there is one tree per 16 square meters of forest area; the area of a soccer pitch is 0.714 ha.
